SMS terms and conditions

The terms for the usletter SMS Program. Text messages are optional, and one word ends them.

Program identity

usletter co. operates the usletter SMS Program (the “Program”), a text message service for readers of usletter. Our postal address is 312 S 2nd Ave, Achille, Oklahoma 74720, United States. For help with the Program, email [email protected].

Acceptance of these terms

By opting in to the Program you agree to these SMS terms and conditions. If you do not agree, do not opt in, and reply STOP to any message you receive from us. These terms cover the Program only. Use of the rest of the website is covered by our terms of use.

Messages you will receive

Program messages may include promotional offers about usletter and its programs; alerts that a new letter or issue is available; account and transactional notices such as confirmations and service updates; and replies to questions you send us. Messages are sent by usletter.

How to opt in

You may opt in through an online or application enrollment form where you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, or by texting a keyword to one of our phone numbers, which may be a 10-digit long code, a toll-free number or a short code. We may send a message confirming your enrollment.

Consent is given for the specific mobile number you submit. Submit only a number you are entitled to use.

Consent is not a condition of purchase

Consent to receive Program messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You can read usletter, join our email interest list and contact us without agreeing to receive text messages.

Automated messages

You agree that Program messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology. The Program is offered to mobile numbers in the United States only.

Message frequency, message and data rates

Message frequency is up to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Charges appear on your mobile phone bill or are deducted from your prepaid balance. Those charges are set by your mobile carrier under your own plan, not by usletter.

How to opt out

You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any Program message. We also accept UNSUBSCRIBE, REMOVE, CANCEL, END, QUIT and OPT OUT.

After you send one of these keywords we will send a single message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further Program messages. To rejoin, opt in again using any of the methods above.

HELP and support

For support regarding the Program, text HELP in reply to any message you received from Us, or email us at [email protected]. You may also opt out by texting STOP.

Eligibility

You must be the account holder of the mobile number you submit, or have the account holder’s permission to enroll it. The Program is available on participating United States carriers only. If your mobile number changes or is reassigned, tell us so we can update our records.

Carrier disclaimer and limitation of liability

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Neither the carriers nor usletter guarantee that a message will be delivered, or that it will arrive on time. The Program is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, usletter co. is not liable for any delay, failure or error in the delivery of Program messages, or for any loss arising from your participation. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

MMS messages

Program messages may be sent as MMS. If your mobile device or carrier does not support MMS, the message is delivered as an SMS text message instead, which may carry a link in place of the attached media.

Privacy

Mobile numbers and consent records collected through the Program are handled as described in our SMS privacy policy. Everything else this website collects is covered by our general privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when published on this page, and the date above shows the most recent update. Continuing to receive Program messages after an update means you accept the revised terms. Reply STOP at any time if you do not.
